Sleeping Right

You sit on the edge of the bed, I'm driving from Coast to Coast

Waiting for the slightest sound to make your ears turn and eyes stop at once

The deepened senses that you have

Are the consequences of holding back

You've been awake for days on end, You couldn't sleep if you wanted to

You're scared stiff of the possibilities that

My hands might be resting on someone else back

And my affection is spent on a lonely girl that doesn't mean a thing in this world to me

You won't be sleeping right tonight without me by your side

you lay awake wondering if I have found somebody else

you won't be sleeping right tonight without me by your side

your breaths only contest the silence in this room to night

You need to breathe in, you need to breathe out

Your heart should rest assured and sleep without

The doubtful tendencies that come alive in you

should be put to bed, never to be awoken again

You won't be sleeping right tonight without me by your side

you lay awake wondering if I have found somebody else

you won't be sleeping right tonight without me by your side

your breaths only contest the silence in this room to night
